Trans Drag Shows for Kids. Groomers Gone Wild or Family-Friendly?

On October 23rd, 2022, the Lost Coast Populist team of Citizen Journalists traveled to The Jefferson Community Center in Eureka, California, to experience our first all-ages Trans Drag Show. We were alerted when the flyer for the event, which can be found here on Ink People art Center’s Instagram, was sent to us multiple times via our various News Tips channels by a handful of concerned Humboldt parents. 

The concerned parents made it clear in their messages that they were appalled because the event hosted a drag show that was free to the public and open to all ages. None of these communications mentioned protesting because folks were throwing an LGBQT+ Pride event. They were put into a fight or flight position, feeling as though marketing a Trans Drag Show to children crossed a line.

Drag Shows Marketed to Kids Crosses a Line

Trans Drag Shows have been getting plenty of fan-fare lately in the mainstream press, with multiple similar scenarios playing out across the nation where angry parents descend on drag shows put on in their community only to be condemned as a hate group thereafter. The reason is not that there is a growing hate movement targeting the LGBQT+ community; it is because some folks in the LGBQT+ community are targeting children with their marketing, and it is not going over very well with their parents.

As a father of three boys, ranging in age from 2 to 12, I am well experienced with the suggestibility and naivete of children, having raised my own for over a decade. I’ve tried my hardest to get my children to snap out of their self-identification as Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, and every Marvel character that seems to exist. They see extraordinary things, and they pretend to act as if they are these characters, if only as an avatar.

This is precisely why there are indecent exposure laws and other advertising and marketing laws that prevent adults with questionable morals from targeting minors. There are specific legal ramifications and consequences if found guilty in a court of law. For example, “18 U.S. Code § 2251 – Sexual exploitation of children” is very clear in its language. It appears that events like the Drag Show put on by Ink People Arts Center and Black Humboldt are walking a high wire without a net, and if they fall, it means potential prison time.

“(a)Any person who employs, uses, persuades, induces, entices, or coerces any minor to engage in, or who has a minor assist any other person to engage in, or who transports any minor in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, or in any Territory or Possession of the United States, with the intent that such minor engage in, any sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of such conduct or for the purpose of transmitting a live visual depiction of such conduct, shall be punished as provided under subsection (e),

if such person knows or has reason to know that such visual depiction will be transported or transmitted using any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce or mailed,

if that visual depiction was produced or transmitted using materials that have been mailed, shipped, or transported in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer, or if such visual depiction has actually been transported or transmitted using any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce or mailed.

(b)Any parent, legal guardian, or person having custody or control of a minor who knowingly permits such minor to engage in, or to assist any other person to engage in, sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of such conduct or for the purpose of transmitting a live visual depiction of such conduct shall be punished as provided under subsection (e) of this section,

if such parent, legal guardian, or person knows or has reason to know that such visual depiction will be transported or transmitted using any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce or mailed,

if that visual depiction was produced or transmitted using materials that have been mailed, shipped, or transported in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer, or if such visual depiction has actually been transported or transmitted using any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce or mailed.”

Have the Democrats Transitioned into Groomers?

With all of the recent headlines revolving around the following question – “Have democrats transitioned into groomers?” – one is left to wonder how any voter of any party could turn a blind eye to such behavior. This question arises due to their brazen activities treating indecent exposure and pedophilia like a high-wire act for the pure sake of retaliatory decadence against a perceived systemic threat. This does not sit well with the average American Parent. These parents are not okay with their children being used as political pawns for the Left’s neverending crusade to tear down everything that makes America Great. 

I know this because I am one of these parents. I was there and what I saw was inappropriate for children, regardless of whether a parent was accompanying them, as clearly defined in the “Sexual Exploitation of Children” U.S. Legal code present above.

For the organizations to first try and force us to leave while filming the Trans Drag Show for Kids and then call the protestors and our Company a Hate-Group is absolute hypocrisy crystalized. If you are a parent just as concerned as this author and the protestors who showed up to fight back against this brazen targeting of our children, please join the Eureka City Council meeting via Zoom TONIGHT, 11-1-2022.

I am a free man. 

I am an American Patriot.

I stand for liberty and justice for all who are born on this land and see them as my brothers and sisters despite any differences we may have.

I am free to do many things in the great land of America and, by extension, here in Humboldt County, California – the place I call home. 

I am free to work hard, earn a living, speak my mind freely, live my life the way I see fit, and raise my children in that vein.

I am also free to love.

I am free to love my wife of 14 years. I am free to love my boys Azure, Ezra, and Bear. I am free to love my friends, their families, and everything that comes together to make our community incredible. 

I am also free to hate. 

I am free to hate pedophiles.

I am free to hate those that would support and condone pedophilia and the ideas they use to justify it. I am free to condemn these activities and confront anything similar that comes to be which appears to be questioning this resolve whether it be in manner, language, or spirit. 

Anything less is my not living up to my duty as a father to protect my children. 

An All-Aged Drag Show, which is free to the public and apparently even supported by tax dollars is something that crosses that line, brazenly. 

All Aged Drag Shows take indecent exposure laws and treat them like a high wire act for the pure sake of decadence. 

How hollow can adults be? There is your answer. 

As a father of three boys, the thought that I could send them down the road to play in Eureka at the Jefferson Community Center and that they’d be exposed to adult males, or anyone for that matter, dressed as scantily clad females or their risque costume choice de jure, and dancing provocatively for cash tips is absolutely unacceptable.

It’s appalling.

It’s disgusting.

Then, to wake up one morning and find out the folks who put this event together were now playing the victim and acting as if the event was family-friendly is pure Marxist double-speak propaganda. 

There was nothing family-friendly about this event. 

The bottom line, which our opponents would love for you to completely ignore, is if they had made the Drag Show part of the event 18 and over, there would never have been a protest at all! 

We were not protesting your right to exist, however, we are protesting your faulty methods of indoctrination to our youth.

Stop targeting our children like a bunch of thirsty groomers and we will stop treating you like thirsty groomers.
