LCP Team on the Ropes: A call to Figurative Arms
In the heart of Humboldt County, where the ancient Redwoods cast their majestic shadows, a sinister force had besieged the valiant LCP team. A Trollish hoard, armed not with swords but with venomous words that could rend flesh from bone, has driven the team to the edge of despair. One by one, members are contemplating departure, their spirits battered by the relentless onslaught.
The trolls, masters of a dark art that could do physical damage through the ethereal realm of words, had woven a malevolent web within the minds of the LCP team. Fear for their families lives and limbs have taken root, and the once steadfast warriors found themselves ensnared in a psychological warfare so extreme that they began to believe the fantastical notion of an unsustainable life behind the Redwood curtains of California.
The trolls’ cudgels, wielded through the arcane power of language, struck at the very foundation of truth. The LCP team, once champions of free thought, found themselves succumbing to the trolls’ mind games – believing tales of state mismanagement under the long-standing rule of Democrat leadership, schools accused of untold perversions and a state seemingly devoid of empathy, disallowing religious or medical exemptions for childhood vaccines.
In their weakened state, the LCP team had been swayed by their own propaganda, convinced that the climate change debate was a ruse designed to instill fear and generate revenue. The trolls’ cunning words had twisted reality, making the team believe in a failing economy that contradicted the rosy picture painted by Governor Gavin Newsom in a heated debate with Ron DeSantis.
The fantastical tales of windmills to nowhere and a mismanaged high-speed rail project echoed in their minds, drowning out the winds of reason. Demanding that they finally accept the dark reality they portray in their articles as truly inevitable, leaving no logical choice other than uprooting and moving to a better managed state .
This article begins with a bad joke in poor humor, a little more clarity is justified. Anyone who is fan of what LCP has done will undoubtedly be disappointed that the original team is throwing in the towel… Especially during an election year. It would be more professional, for lack of a better word, to just be honest.
Most of the team is leaving Humboldt. Truly, because for us the writing appears to be on the wall. California is indeed a lost cause unless the people rise up and actually participate. The complacency with corruption in this state has destroyed its potential to be a success, have a freedom culture, and pursue the American dream.
A Tough Decision
The decision to leave Humboldt county and California has not been easy for myself and other team members, there are many people that we will truly miss. For myself this decision has been in the realm of possibility since the Covid Tyranny. At the time my wife and I had dubbed the option as taking a half measure or a full measure to insure the quality of life our family unit experienced.
A half measure would have been moving to a more conservative County, still staying within California’s borders to stay close to family and friends. A full measure would be moving to another state entirely with more conservative policies, when I say conservative I really mean sane and respectful of individual freedom.
Now roughly 3 years later the full measure seems not only warranted but utterly necessary on so many levels. So we have made the decision to vote with our feet and join the many others fleeing California.
LCP Team 2.0 Call to Arms
This final article by the original LCP team is an open invitation to people brave enough to step forward and continue the original purpose Lost Coast Populist had been conceived for (challenging the monopolies held by local establishment media). This is a call to arms against the local Trollish horde, a call to those courageous individuals determined to stay in the fight in Humboldt County.
The LCP team offers help/guidance to any who would join the fray, including instruction on how to navigate and use various LCP Media components. The battle behind the Redwood curtain is far from over. Will new champions arise to pick up the torch carried for the last year by the LCP team?
Respond in comments if interested in picking up the LCP torch in any medium or capacity.
